
The Gardens & Grounds at Glamis,
have centuries of history behind them, and like the castle have been
added to and altered by generations of the Strathmore family.
Walks
have been created to take in a mixture of habitats ranging from
parkland and policies in the immediate vicinity of the castle to the
formal Italian Garden, mixed woodland and pinetum.
Walks include: The Italian Garden Walk, The Nature Trail Walk, The Pinetum Walk, and The River Dean Walk.

Visitors
to Glamis have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife such as:
otters, salmon, herons, kingfishers, hares, kestrels, red squirrels and
stoats.For plant - lovers there is an abundance of snowdrowps,
daffodils, dog's mercury, primrose, dog's tooth violet, crocus,
butterbur, rhododendrons, azaleas, etc. at various times throughout the
year.
