Originally
built in 1664, the main house was once owned by Francis Norrie-Miller,
leading light of local insurance giant General Accident. It became a
luxury hotel after refurbishment in 1973.
Since then,
Murrayshall has evolved into Scotland’s most accommodating hotel, a
destination of substance that maintains constantly high standards, a
triumph of comfort and good service over fickle trends in fashion.
With
42 well appointed bedrooms in both the main historic house and several
modern lodges, Murrayshall also features an
award-winning restaurant,
two challenging golf courses in the grounds, and unparalleled
facilities for business conferences and weddings.
